Hello, I’m Ellen – a user-centric product design leader, thought leader, mentor & speaker.
Product design is in my DNA.
Product design is in my DNA. I have over 18+ years of hands-on industry knowledge and experience working in product design, product management, UI development, and leading UI/UX-D/UX-R teams. I am adept at listening, understanding, and advocating for the voice of the customer juxtaposed with being the subject matter expert with current buying trends in the financing space. These insights empower me to translate business requirements into delivering rich, frictionless user experiences and innovative new business models.
I am currently the Director of UX for Snap Finance, a Fintech company, reporting to the Chief Digital Officer. In my role, I thrive working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy rolling up my sleeves to ensure we are solving the right problems. It starts with working closely with executive leadership, stakeholders, product teams, compliance, and engineering to strategize and design functional and beautiful customer-centered products. As a servant leader, I lead, mentor, and inspire my team of designers, writers, and researchers. To ensure product development deadlines are met, I set clear goals and expectations by creating user stories, managing backlogs, and coordinate resources. Indeed, I was the driving force behind the integration of UX designOps into the development of Snap's PDLC. My success is derived from my high emotional intelligence and ability to collaborate with senior leadership, product managers, and business owners spanning across the organization.
